All in the name of God.....

A religion is a set of tenets and practices, often centered upon specific supernatural and moral claims about reality, the cosmos, and human nature, and often codified as prayer, ritual, or religious law. Religion also encompasses ancestral or cultural traditions, writings, history, and mythology, as well as personal faith and religious experience. The term "religion" refers to both the personal practices related to communal faith and to group rituals and communication stemming from shared conviction....
this is what wikipedia says when u type religion in the google browser. but lets be realistic(and also ignore my bad punctuation ;-)).religion in India means one of d following..
1. Hinduism
2.Islam
3.Sikhism
4.Christianity
Anything else well..doesn't really count.India is the birthplace of hinduism, buddhism ,Zoroastrianism nd to some extent jainism as well. But a majority of people don't know this and believe that since we'r 'hindustan'..only hinduism was born here. And hence hinduism rules. Howevr much we pride ourselves in being a secular nation...it is a million kms away from reality.Religious tolerance is almost zero in our country as of today.Don't believe me....how else do u explain the rape of a NUN in orissa......
As if poverty ,corruption,illiteracy,illl-treatment meted out to foreign tourists wasn't enough....we have this:- mass murders ,destruction of property nd the rape of a NUN in orissa. The reason?? all to avenge the murder of a Swami who was murdered by goodness knows who nd 'forced' conversions of hindus to christianity..Seriously i don't know who murdered him...but i wish he/she hadn't....we wouldn't have had to see this day then..
But if this Swami was a real one....i doubt he would have advocated this as the way of revenge.I don't think any religion in the world advocates killing nd raping of women for any reason whatsovever...in fact no religion advocates the word 'revenge' to my knowledge....
But the rape it seems was not the end of horrors for this nun...as i found out in the newspaper today..She was dragged out into the streets after the incident....the police told her not to file an fir...all possible hurdles were placed in the way of her filing an fir...and then the press conference....and last but not the least the supreme court rejecting her plea for a cbi inquiry...
i really don't get the logic of the court rejecting the plea...we've cbi inquiries for every tom, dick n harry case nowadays...so why not this one??....how else are we supposed to estabilish the gross misconduct of the orissa police...and what of the nun now....as the tribune editorial says...'forcing her to deal with the same set of policemen again amounts to a second rape..'

So..the conclusion....in this country u can get away with setting fire to trains, public property, mass killing of people...nd the rape of a nun....all in the name of God.......nd no u won't suffer.....it'll b the victims who'll suffer for...not being a hindu..or a muslim or a christian or a sikh.........
